LCSW FOR SPECIAL POPULATION
SUMMARY
The LCSW will provide direct psychotherapy and case management services to homeless clients that will address social, medical, mental health and substance abuse problems. The LCSW will assist clients in setting goals that will promote stability and empower them.REQUIREMENTS
Master’s Degree in Social Work and actively licensed in the state of New York as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a minimum of 2-3 years post graduate social work experience. Experience with mentally ill and substance abuse populations required. Experience working with homeless clients preferred. Must be flexible and able to work in non-traditional settings. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.DUTIES
• Maintain a caseload of clients who need therapeutic intervention.• Develop a comprehensive psycho-social assessment to identify and address client’s needs.
• Provide direct therapy to clients and establishes an individualized intervention/treatment plan or strategy to promote identified goals.
• Provide therapy and case management, including individual counseling, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, advocacy, psychoeducation, coordination of services and appropriate follow-ups on all referrals.
• Use cognitive behavioral, motivational interviewing, seeking safety and other client centered therapeutic interventions to counsel clients.
• Encourage and promote self-management and provides assistance to build self-management skills.
• Review clinical notes routinely to ensure that clients follow-up is conducted as required
• Provide individual and group mental health, substance use, and harm reduction/recovery counseling as needed.
• Report significant observations and interactions with clients to the appropriate staff at HOPE and OASIS.
• Research and make recommendations for training opportunities outside of both organizations.
• Make recommendations to modify program services as needed to best serve HOPE/OASIS clients.
• Maintain current, accurate, and confidential records on all clients.
• Must maintain confidentiality.
• Make referrals to agencies and community resources.
• Prepare reports in accordance with HOPE/OASIS grant requirements.
• Performs other duties assigned related to this role.

HRC PROGRAM COORDINATOR (Part-Time)
SUMMARY
The HRC Program Coordinator (HRCPC) will assist clients in assessing their job skills for positions, instruct clients in job seeking, application procedures, resume writing, interview preparation, and job retention skills and attitudes. The HRCPC will arrange for interviews, monitor client performance on the job and counsel participants when job performance is not satisfactory. The HRCPC will also conduct workshops on everyday life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, personal care, getting to relevant medical and psychiatric appointments, meeting the requirements of a lease, getting along with neighbors and others, decreasing isolation, fostering community integration and productive use of leisure time, and budget development and management. The HRCPC will also plan and implement weekly programs and/or activities for clients.REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree (completed or expected in next two years) plus one year of experience providing programming, daily living skills and job readiness classes to homeless individuals or other relevant human service experience, or bachelor’s degree that required a one-year practicum working directly with homeless individuals with mental disabilities and one year above experience. Or an associate’s degree in a health or human services field and two years of experience as stated above. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.DUTIES
• Offer services in a manner that is sensitive and responsive to each individual’s cultural, linguistic and lifestyle needs and preferences.• Establish respectful, effective relationships with HRC clients and with the housing and outreach team.
• Collaborate with the housing team on the implementation of individualized service plans for all participants, as well as observe and record information that can further the therapeutic goals of each client.
• Must maintain confidentiality.
• Develop employment opportunities for homeless clients.
• Provide information, pre-employment assessment and workforce re-entry planning services and coordination.
• Work with participants to improve job performance and gain necessary job skills, review other employment options, maintain contact with employers during the participants' employment, and report results to appropriate staff, track participant activity and progress data.
• Initiate and maintain ongoing personal contacts with a variety of businesses and industry representatives and job placement/training agencies to promote HOPE for participant placement.
• Collect data from employers related to available jobs including requirements and skills.
• Match job skills with applicant qualifications.
• Refers qualified applicants to employers and conduct necessary follow-up when applicants are placed in positions.
• Help arrange for job interviews.
• Provide workshops on handling finances, importance of budgeting, making purchases, and meeting financial obligations.
• Provide daily living skills workshops in routine housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, dressing, personal hygiene, administration of medications and other areas of daily living, home safety, first aid and emergency procedures.
• Provide follow up services to ensure that client needs are being met.
• Plan and implement weekly programs and/or activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

SENIOR SERVICES OUTREACH WORKER ASSISTANT (part-time)
SUMMARY
The Senior Services Outreach Worker Assistant (SSOWA) is responsible for working closely with the Senior Services Outreach Worker to provide outreach, advocacy, support and programming services to senior citizens living in low-income senior housing in New Rochelle, NY. The SSOWA will assess individual needs, refer clients to resources, prepare flyers and correspondence, perform outreach activities and add to information and referral network.REQUIREMENTS
AA or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Gerontology, Social services or a related field involving geriatric populations. At least one year of experience with geriatric populations and knowledge of the aging process and service needs of senior residents. Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
DUTIES
● Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with the elderly and others in an empathetic and compassionate manner.● Maintain confidentiality of clients.
● Plan and implement programs and events at senior residences with Senior Services Outreach Worker.
● Provide follow-up services to ensure the clients’ needs are being met.
● Assist clients with applications for supplemental services and other benefits such as SNAP.
● Represent HOPE at health fairs and other tabling events.
● Perform other related duties as assigned.

SECURITY GUARD (part-time)
SUMMARY
HOPE Community Services, Inc. is seeking two part-time diligent and responsible Security Guards to join our team in New Rochelle. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented person who will work to ensure the safety and security of our premises, clients, staff, volunteers, and visitors. Each Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to prevent theft, unauthorized entrance, acts or threats of violence, and infractions of HOPE's policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
REQUIREMENTS
• Education:
o High school diploma or equivalent or five years' verifiable experience required.
• Experience:
o Prior experience in security or related fields preferred.
• Skills:
o Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
o Good verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to manage stressful situations calmly and effectively.
o Knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
o Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
• Certifications:
o Valid New York State Security Guard license is a plus.
o CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
• Physical Requirements:
o Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
o Ability to lift or move up to thirty-five pounds.
o Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
DUTIES
• Surveillance and Monitoring:
o Monitor entrance and departure of clients, visitors and other persons on premises to prevent unauthorized entrance, acts of violence and theft, and to maintain the security of premises.
o Conduct regular and random patrols of HOPE premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors and windows.
o Monitor security systems, and security cameras to identify and respond to potential security risks.
• Incident Response:
o Respond to disturbances.
o Provide assistance to employees, clients, volunteers and visitors in emergency situations.
o Contact the New Rochelle Police Department and/or the New Rochelle Fire Department in cases of emergency.
• Documentation:
o Complete a report for any incidents and/or irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or other unusual occurrences.
o Maintain accurate records of all security-related incidents.
• Customer Service:
o Greet and provide directions and information to visitors.
