SUPPORTING OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED

HOPE is a community service organization in New Rochelle, New York, providing emergency food services, housing, children’s supportive programming and a full array of social services to all in our community who may need it, with dignity and respect.

HOPE’s Food Pantry is one of the largest in Westchester County. And we have the first and only Kosher Pantry serving the entire county. HOPE’s Community Kitchen serves about 100 meals each week night where every guest is warmly welcomed. Our wonderful team of committed staff and enthusiastic volunteers take great pride in helping to support our neighbors.

In addition to our many food services, we provide housing services, children’s after-school and summer programming, and community programming, as well as distributions of books, clothes, hats, scarves and gloves, shoes and socks, backpacks and school supplies and toys, and so much more.

HOPE Community Services strives to help its clients achieve personal responsibility and healthy self-sufficiency.

How Many More Will Come to Our Door?

As food prices surge, pantry lines grow. We provide healthy fresh food because of people like you. We are THANKFUL for the generous assistance we get from food drives, food donations, and our ability to purchase food at lower prices from food banks such as Feeding Westchester.

We ask you to support us so we can continue to strengthen and grow our operations in order to help as many people as possible through our food pantry, soup kitchen, academic enrichment programs, housing programs, community events, citizenship classes, and summer programs.

Our dining room continues to fill each morning with more and more homeless men and women looking for a warm meal, and our community dinners continue to expand too. Our wonderful Chef, Pantry Manager, Program Director, Operations Director and other staff continue to develop innovative programs in order to most effectively serve more clients.

We are THANKFUL for you--for your spirit of generosity, kindness, and support.

The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a massive increase in food insecurity.

The current inflationary trend has lead to a continuation of that need.

In 2020, when the COVID-19 Pandemic hit, most Community Kitchens and Food Pantries temporarily shut down. HOPE didn’t miss a beat. Never closing, HOPE stepped up to be on the front line through this crisis - providing non-stop, critical support to a surging number of people in our community, who depend now more than ever on Hope resources.
In 2023 due to pandemic instability and surging prices, sadly the need is still significant.
HOPE will continue to offer crucial support and services to our neighbors to help see them through this difficult time.

“HOPE Community Services is an invaluable resource to our entire city”
